Anthony Mackie will move his West End production of Macbeth to Broadway, coming back to live theatre after a long absence. He will play the title role, with the run expected to continue until July 2027.
The production began its run in the West End before the Broadway transfer was reported by Playbill and Deadline. The move marks a significant moment for a performer who has spent years in front of a camera.
After his Broadway run concludes, Mackie has confirmed he will film Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduling the blockbuster in after his stage work finishes.
